Accu-Chek SmartGuide is a CGM solution that measures glucose in the subcutaneous interstitial fluid and sends readings to a compatible smartphone app for real-time tracking and trend insights. The system is designed for adults living with diabetes (18+), supporting day-to-day monitoring through continuous data rather than isolated fingerstick values. In use, the sensor is applied on the upper arm using an all-in-one applicator and can be worn for up to 14 days, with water resistance for normal daily activities like showering/swimming (within the product’s limits). The SmartGuide app displays glucose values, trend arrows, graphs, and alerts; and in supported configurations, predictive features help users act before highs/lows occur.Important clinical-use notes for safe monitoring:• CGM measures interstitial glucose, which can lag behind blood glucose during rapid rises/falls; if values don’t match symptoms, confirm with a blood glucose meter.• Therapy decisions (e.g., insulin dosing) may require calibration and/or confirmation with a blood glucose meter depending on system mode and app prompts.• The sensor is single-use and intended for one patient only (not a clinical setting).This product is best positioned for customers who want easier glucose trend monitoring, improved awareness of patterns, and proactive diabetes management support alongside their clinician’s advice.

Usage: Apply the sensor only on the indicated upper-arm site and pair it with the SmartGuide app as instructed. After warm-up, monitor glucose values and trends in the app. Calibrate when prompted by the app using a blood glucose meter value (as required). Replace with a new sensor after wear period; do not reuse.Precautions: Interstitial CGM values may not match blood glucose during rapid changes—verify with a blood glucose meter if symptoms don’t match readings and before therapy decisions when required. Do not use for critically ill patients or patients on dialysis. Remove sensor before MRI/CT/X-ray/radiotherapy/diathermy and other high electromagnetic environments. Sensor is single-use, single-patient only. Keep small parts/batteries away from children. Monitor the site for irritation/inflammation; replace sensor if damaged or if adhesive lifts under the sensor.
