Elocom Cream contains mometasone furoate 0.1%, a potent topical corticosteroid used for inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. It is often prescribed for eczema, allergic dermatitis, and inflammatory rashes to rapidly reduce symptoms and help restore comfort.\n\nWhat it is used for (doctor-directed):\n- Eczema and dermatitis flare-ups\n- Allergic/irritant rashes requiring corticosteroid therapy\n- Itchy, inflamed patches needing symptom control\n\nHow it supports relief:\n- Reduces inflammatory swelling and redness\n- Relieves itching to reduce scratching and secondary skin damage\n- Supports smoother, calmer skin during flare management\n\nRoutine support tips:\n- Moisturize regularly to strengthen barrier\n- Use gentle cleansers and avoid hot water\n- Identify and avoid triggers (fragrance, harsh detergents, friction)\n\nCorrect use is essential to reduce risks such as skin thinning, striae, and rebound flare. If symptoms are persistent or infection is suspected, medical reassessment is recommended.
