Diprosone Betamethasone 0.05% Ointment 30g is a prescription topical corticosteroid used to reduce redness, inflammation and itching associated with certain steroid-responsive skin conditions. It contains betamethasone dipropionate equivalent to 0.05% betamethasone.
Diprosone is classified as a potent topical corticosteroid and may be prescribed for conditions including eczema, dermatitis and selected forms of psoriasis where a strong topical corticosteroid is appropriate. The ointment formulation is particularly suitable for dry, scaly or thickened skin lesions.
Because potent topical corticosteroids require careful use, Diprosone should be applied only as prescribed, using the smallest appropriate amount for the recommended treatment period.
