Gynera Oral Contraceptive Tablets 21's is a combined hormonal contraceptive containing Ethinylestradiol 30 micrograms and Gestodene 75 micrograms in each tablet, used to help prevent pregnancy when taken correctly.
The two hormones work together by preventing ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to make it more difficult for sperm to reach the uterus, and changing the uterine lining to reduce the likelihood of implantation.
Gynera is supplied as a 21-day contraceptive pack. One tablet is taken daily for 21 consecutive days followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval, after which the next pack is started according to the prescribed schedule.

How to Use:
• Take exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist.
• Take 1 tablet at approximately the same time each day for 21 consecutive days.
• After completing 21 tablets, have a 7-day tablet-free interval.
• Start the next pack after the 7-day break, even if withdrawal bleeding has not finished.
• Follow the patient leaflet carefully when starting your first pack.
• If a tablet is missed, follow the missed-pill instructions in the product leaflet because contraceptive protection may be reduced.
• Additional barrier contraception may be required in certain missed-dose situations.
Precautions:
• Prescription use only.
• Gynera does not protect against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections.
• Combined hormonal contraceptives increase the risk of blood clots.
• Seek urgent medical attention for unexplained leg swelling, chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, severe headache or sudden vision changes.
• Inform your doctor if you smoke, particularly if you are over 35 years old.
• Tell your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, migraine with aura, cardiovascular disease, severe liver disease or certain cancers.
• Inform your healthcare professional about all medicines and herbal products because some can reduce contraceptive effectiveness.
• Do not use during pregnancy.
