ImmunoRho Anti-D Immunoglobulin 300mcg/2ml Prefilled Syringe is a prescription human immunoglobulin preparation used to help prevent Rh(D) sensitization in Rh(D)-negative individuals, particularly during pregnancy and after exposure to Rh(D)-positive red blood cells.
Each prefilled syringe contains Human Anti-D Immunoglobulin 300mcg, equivalent to approximately 1500 IU, derived from carefully screened human plasma. The antibodies bind to Rh(D)-positive red blood cells before the patient's immune system can become sensitized and produce its own anti-D antibodies.
ImmunoRho may be administered to Rh(D)-negative women during pregnancy, after delivery of an Rh(D)-positive baby, or following other potentially sensitizing events according to medical assessment. Administration must be performed by an appropriately trained healthcare professional.
