Maxigesic IV 100ml is a prescription intravenous analgesic and antipyretic medicine containing a fixed-dose combination of Paracetamol 1000mg and Ibuprofen 300mg in each 100ml vial.

How to Use:
• Maxigesic IV must be administered by a qualified healthcare professional.
• It is administered by intravenous infusion.
• For adults, a commonly recommended dose is one 100ml vial infused over approximately 15 minutes.
• The dose may be repeated at intervals of approximately 6 hours when clinically required and prescribed.
• Total daily exposure to Paracetamol from all medicines must be considered to prevent accidental overdose.
• The maximum daily dose must not be exceeded.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.
• The vial is intended for single-patient, single use.
• Discard any unused solution after administration.
Precautions:
• Prescription-only medicine.
• Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, other NSAIDs or any component of the formulation.
• Avoid taking or receiving additional medicines containing Paracetamol or Ibuprofen unless specifically directed by a healthcare professional.
• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment, kidney impairment, dehydration, malnutrition or chronic alcohol use.
• NSAIDs may cause gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding or perforation, particularly in susceptible patients.
• Use caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcer or bleeding.
• NSAIDs may increase cardiovascular risk in certain patients, particularly with higher doses or prolonged use.
• Use with caution in patients with asthma or previous NSAID-related respiratory reactions.

• Extra caution is required in elderly patients and those with renal, hepatic or cardiovascular disease.
