Shingrix Recombinant Zoster Vaccine 50mcg/0.5ml – Prevention of Shingles
Shingrix is a prescription recombinant, adjuvanted herpes zoster vaccine used to help prevent shingles (herpes zoster) and post-herpetic neuralgia in eligible adults.
After reconstitution, each 0.5ml dose contains 50 micrograms of Varicella Zoster Virus glycoprotein E antigen and the AS01B adjuvant system containing QS-21 and MPL.
The primary vaccination schedule consists of two 0.5ml intramuscular doses. Eligibility and timing should follow official vaccination recommendations and assessment by a qualified healthcare professional.
