Xylocaine 10% Pump Spray 50ml is a prescription local anaesthetic containing lidocaine at a concentration of 10% w/v (100mg/ml). Lidocaine temporarily blocks nerve-signal transmission in the treated area, producing local numbness when applied to appropriate mucous membranes.
The spray is commonly used under medical or dental supervision before procedures that require surface anaesthesia. It may also be prescribed for specific painful mucosal conditions when a healthcare professional considers topical lidocaine appropriate.
