| Scabi 5% Lotion is a permethrin-based scabicide used to treat scabies (infestation by Sarcoptes scabiei). Permethrin works by killing mites and their eggs on contact. Successful scabies treatment depends on correct application technique and household hygiene measures.Why full-body application matters: โข Scabies mites can be present beyond the most itchy areas. โข Treating the whole body helps reduce missed spots and reinfestation. โข Re-exposure from close contacts, clothing, or bedding can cause recurrence.Key treatment principles: โข Apply to clean, dry skin and cover all body areas as directed. โข Pay special attention to skin folds and hard-to-reach areas. โข Wash off after the recommended contact time. โข Treat close household contacts if advised by a healthcare professional. โข Itching may persist for weeks even after mites are eliminated; seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.Hygiene steps that support treatment success: โข Wash clothing, bed linen, and towels used recently in hot water (commonly 60ยฐC or higher) and dry thoroughly. โข Items that cannot be washed can be sealed in a plastic bag for several days as advised.Note: Instructions can vary slightly by manufacturerโalways follow the pack insert and your doctor/pharmacist's directions. |

| Apply at night to clean, dry skin. Shake well before use. Apply from the neck down to cover the whole body, paying attention to skin folds (between fingers/toes, armpits, groin, under nails). Allow to dry, wear clean clothes, and keep on for 8โ14 hours, then wash off with soap and warm water. Re-apply to hands after each washing during the contact period. (Directions may differ by manufacturerโfollow pack insert/doctor advice.)ย External use only. Avoid eyes; rinse immediately with plenty of water if contact occurs. Do not apply on broken/irritated skin unless advised. Do not use immediately after a hot bath. Do not share medication. Seek urgent medical help if allergic reactions occur (swelling, breathing difficulty, severe rash). Inform your doctor if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and light.ย |
