Hartmann Cosmopor E Sterile Self-Adhesive Wound Dressing 10 × 8cm is designed for reliable protection and management of post-operative wounds and minor injuries requiring a sterile absorbent dressing.

The dressing features a soft non-woven polyester backing combined with an absorbent central wound pad. A porous polyethylene wound-contact layer helps prevent the absorbent pad from sticking directly to the wound while allowing wound exudate to pass through into the absorbent layer.

Its skin-friendly hypoallergenic adhesive helps secure the dressing comfortably to the surrounding skin without requiring an additional secondary fixation dressing.

The adhesive is applied in a striped pattern to support breathability while maintaining reliable adhesion. Rounded dressing corners help reduce edge rolling and support comfortable wear.

Cosmopor E provides effective absorption and cushioning while protecting the wound from external contact. Each dressing is individually sterile packed for hygienic application.

How to Use:

• Clean the wound and surrounding skin according to appropriate wound-care practice.
• Ensure the surrounding skin is clean and dry before applying the dressing.
• Open the individual sterile package immediately before use.
• Remove the protective release paper without touching the wound-contact pad.
• Position the absorbent pad directly over the wound.
• Gently press the adhesive edges onto the healthy surrounding skin to secure the dressing.
• Ensure the dressing lies smoothly against the skin without excessive tension.
• Replace the dressing as required according to the condition of the wound and healthcare-professional guidance.
• Dispose of the used dressing appropriately after removal.

Precautions:

• For external use only.
• Single use only.
• Do not reuse the dressing.
• Do not use if the individual sterile packaging is opened, damaged or compromised.
• Apply only to appropriately cleaned wounds.
• Avoid touching the sterile wound-contact surface during application.
• Do not apply excessive tension when securing the dressing.
• Check the wound regularly for signs of infection, increasing redness, swelling, warmth, discharge or worsening pain.
• Seek medical advice for infected, deep, heavily bleeding, severe or non-healing wounds.
• Discontinue use if significant skin irritation or sensitivity to the adhesive develops.
• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Keep the dressing in its original sterile packaging until required for use.
