Hartmann Cosmopor E Sterile Self-Adhesive Wound Dressing 7.2 × 5cm is designed for reliable protection and management of postoperative wounds, primary wounds and minor injuries requiring a sterile absorbent dressing.

The dressing is made with a soft non-woven backing and a centrally positioned absorbent wound pad that helps absorb wound exudate while providing comfortable cushioning and protection.

A fine-mesh polyethylene wound-contact layer helps prevent the absorbent pad from adhering directly to the wound. Its micro-mesh structure allows wound fluid to pass efficiently into the absorbent pad.

Cosmopor E uses a skin-friendly synthetic adhesive to provide secure fixation to the healthy surrounding skin without requiring a separate fixation tape or bandage.

The compact 7.2 × 5cm dressing includes an absorbent wound pad measuring 4 × 2.5cm, making it suitable for smaller postoperative incisions, cuts and minor wounds requiring sterile coverage.

Each dressing is individually sealed and sterile for hygienic, single-use application.

How to Use:

• Clean the wound according to appropriate wound-care practice.
• Gently dry the healthy skin surrounding the wound before application.
• Open the individual sterile package immediately before use.
• Remove the protective backing without touching the sterile wound-contact pad.
• Position the 4 × 2.5cm absorbent pad so that it completely covers the wound.
• Gently press the adhesive border onto the healthy surrounding skin.
• Smooth the dressing into place without applying excessive tension.
• Ensure the dressing is securely attached around the wound.
• Replace the dressing according to wound condition, exudate level and healthcare-professional guidance.
• Replace the dressing if it becomes saturated, loose, wet, contaminated or damaged.
• Dispose of the used dressing appropriately after removal.
