Hartmann Cosmopor E Sterile Self-Adhesive Wound Dressing 20 × 10cm is designed for the protection and management of postoperative wounds, acute wounds and minor injuries requiring a sterile absorbent dressing.
The dressing combines a soft, breathable non-woven backing with an absorbent central wound pad that helps collect wound exudate while providing comfortable cushioning and protection.
A specially designed non-adherent wound-contact layer helps prevent the absorbent pad from sticking directly to the wound, supporting greater comfort during dressing changes.
The skin-friendly hypoallergenic adhesive provides secure fixation to the healthy surrounding skin without the need for an additional fixation dressing. Its soft and conformable construction helps the dressing adapt comfortably to different areas of the body.
The 20 × 10cm dressing incorporates an absorbent pad measuring approximately 16 × 5.5cm, making it particularly suitable for longer postoperative incisions and other superficial wounds requiring extended sterile coverage.

How to Use:
• Clean the wound according to appropriate wound-care practice.
• Gently dry the healthy skin surrounding the wound before application.
• Open the individual sterile package immediately before use.
• Remove the protective backing without touching the sterile wound-contact pad.
• Position the absorbent pad so that it completely covers the wound.
• Gently press the adhesive border onto the healthy surrounding skin.
• Smooth the dressing into position without stretching or applying excessive tension.
• Ensure the adhesive border is securely attached around the wound.
• Replace the dressing according to the condition of the wound, level of exudate and healthcare-professional guidance.
• Replace immediately if the dressing becomes saturated, loose, wet, contaminated or damaged.
• Dispose of the used dressing appropriately after removal.
